Reception

Children have the opportunity to 'freeflow' for much of the day between our four classrooms, the indoor activity area ('the ocean'), the outside covered area ('the beach') and the garden and we have been able to maintain much of this.  We recognise that many children need to start from their own familiar experiences, and that creativity and problem-solving skills are important, so our role play areas are 'deconstructed' and 'basic' to allow all children to access the rich opportunities for language development and collaborative play available.  Additional provocations are added to stimulate particular thinking, play or language at various times.
