The health, safety and wellbeing of our school community (both children and staff) is important to us.  We take our safeguarding responsibilities very seriously and you can view our Safeguarding (incorporating Child Protection) policy under policies.

If you have concerns about a child, you can contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Miss Aisha Hoten, aishahoten@downsinf.brighton-hove.sch.uk.  Out of school hours please contact Front Door For Families.  If your concern is about a member of staff, please contact the Headteacher or the LADO (Local Authority Designated Officer). Please note that all these routes of reporting are available even if school is closed.

From September 2023 our Designated Safeguarding Lead will be Mr Phil Jones.  His e-mail is philipjones@downsinf.brighton-hove.sch.uk.

Mr Jones is also our mental health lead.

We have gathered these resources which may help you to help your child.
